Congregation Beth Am

OPEN Groups are listed below. Sh'ma Groups are formed by Beth Am members who are enthusiastic & motivated to lead and/or participate in a meaningful small group. Focus varies by group and can be based on interests, life stages, and/or geographic location.
While the makeup of each group will be as different and diverse as our membership, all groups are provided with training and access to discussion materials focused on “big questions” that provide a basic structure for each group meeting.
Sh'ma Groups will be led by members (trained lay leaders called “guides”). Group members commit to an initial 6 meetings within 3-6 months (meeting at least once a month)., Contact: shmagroups@betham.org - Sh'ma Groups Team

The Mosaic Paws

Everyone
Animals can provide a great source of comfort and stress relief, and can teach us empathy and compassion. In this Sh’ma group we will celebrate our love for our furry friends (and wildlife!), while thinking about the role of Judaism in preserving the natural world. We will have a mix of formal meetings, and outdoor dog friendly gatherings/hikes/beach visits. Owning a dog is not a requirement! Enthusiasts are also welcome.
