The Bondage Breaker- Part 2

Xenia, OH
This group is facilitated by Pastor Bruce and Charlene Craig.

Charlene and I would like to welcome you to our home in Xenia's “Green Acres” as we go through portions of a book by Neil Anderson called The Bondage Breaker. We will be going through the second half of the book during this small group study. Our time will include prayer, fellowship, food, and Bible Study. We will discover anew and afresh that God has given us everything we need to live a victorious Christian life. Spiritual warfare is a fact of the Christian life and God wants you to live as an overcomer over satan's many schemes. Whether your struggling in an area of your life where you want freedom or you simply want more of Jesus and His Word, this Bible study will appeal to you.

If you would like to purchase a copy of the book then you may do so on your own. It’s not necessary to have a book but it would probably be helpful. You can purchase a book online through Amazon or CBD. Any Questions; please feel free to talk to Pastor Bruce.

First Meeting is Sunday, February 11.

Only children 12 and above are able to attend this group.
Meets Every Other Week on Sunday
6:00pm – 7:30pm

The Case for Christ

Beavercreek, OH
This group is facilitated by Phil and Elaine Hale.

This group will be going through Lee Strobel's, "The Case for Christ."

Here is a description of the book:

Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God?

Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis who are recognized authorities in their own fields.

Strobel challenges them with questions like, How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence for Jesus exist outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event?

Winner of the Gold Medallion Book Award and twice nominated for the Christian Book of the Year Award, Strobel’s tough, point-blank questions read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it’s not fiction. It’s a riveting quest for the truth about history’s most compelling figure.

Books can be purchased through group leader for $8 each.

Spirit-Empowered Evangelism

Dayton, OH
This group is facilitated by Pastor Dustin and Brittany Renz.

This group is going to study "Do Greater Things: Activating the Kingdom to Heal the Sick and Love the Lost" by Robby Dawkins. Outreaches will also be incorporated into the small group experience.

Here is the book description:

The Bible says that if you belong to Jesus, you have the power to:

· heal the sick
· cast out demons
· bring deliverance to those trapped in spiritual darkness
· prophesy in his name
· call forth creative miracles
· receive supernatural words of wisdom and knowledge
· even raise the dead

So why do so many Christians live powerless lives? Why do they operate with so little faith?

Having gone through his own journey from doubt to belief, Chicagoland pastor Robby Dawkins now ministers and speaks internationally, and where he goes, miracles happen. In these pages he shares incredible stories of God using ordinary people to do the impossible. And he shows that, when you begin to have faith in the power of God, take him at his Word, and understand his love for you, you will see his power released in healings, financial blessings, and miracles of all kinds.

Books can be ordered online.

This group meets every other week, with outreach opportunities on the off weeks.

First meeting is Monday, February 19.

Children under 12 are welcome provided parents help to provide supervision.

The Anatomy of a Disciple- High School/ College Guys

Fairborn, OH
This group is being facilitated by Amos Carter.

This group will be going through Rick Taylor's "The Anatomy of a Disciple."

Here is the book description:

Some believers boil the Christian life down to an easy formula. Some believers fall into comparative Christianity, assuming being better than average is better than nothing. Other believers fake it, trying to look and act like they think a Christian should.

But all these forms of Christianity are just settling for a cheap substitute for the real thing: genuine discipleship.

So many followed Him. So few were called disciples.

In The Anatomy of a Disciple, Rick Taylor will help you become more aware of what God is already doing in your life, so you can become a true disciple of Jesus Christ rather than just another follower at a distance.

Books can be purchased online.

First Meeting is Sunday, February 11.

Only high school and college guys are able to attend. No children.

Switch On Your Brain (Women's Group)

Kettering, OH
This group is hosted by Jenni Sullivan.

The group will be studying the book "Switch on Your Brain: The Key to Peak Happiness, Thinking and Health" by Dr. Caroline Leaf.

Here is the info about the book:

According to researchers, the vast majority--a whopping 75-98 percent--of the illnesses that plague us today are a direct result of our thought life. What we think about truly affects us both physically and emotionally. In fact, fear alone triggers more than 1,400 known physical and chemical responses in our bodies, activating more than thirty different hormones! Today our culture is undergoing an epidemic of toxic thoughts that, left unchecked, create ideal conditions for illnesses.

Supported by current scientific and medical research, Dr. Caroline Leaf gives readers a prescription for better health and wholeness through correct thinking patterns, declaring that we are not victims of our biology. She shares with readers the "switch" in our brains that enables us to live happier, healthier, more enjoyable lives where we achieve our goals, maintain our weight, and even become more intelligent. She shows us how to choose life, get our minds under control, and reap the benefits of a detoxed thought life.

Books can be ordered online.

Young Family Life

Bellbrook, OH
This group is facilitated by Ed and Amy Clack.

This group is designed for young families. It will be going through the book "Guardrails: Avoiding Regrets in Your Life" by Andy Stanley. Here is a description of the book:

"Guardrails: a system designed to keep vehicles from straying into dangerous or off-limit areas.] They're everywhere, but they don't really get much attention . . . until somebody hits one. And then, more often than not, it is a lifesaver. Ever wonder what it would be like to have guardrails in other areas of your life---areas where culture baits you to the edge of disaster and then chastises you when you step across the line? Your friendships. Your finances. Your marriage. Maybe your greatest regret could have been avoided if you had established guardrails. In this six-session video based study, Andy Stanley challenges us to stop flirting with disaster and establish some personal guardrails."

First Meeting is Sunday, February 11.

Children 12 and under are welcome in this group provided parents help to provide supervision.
