The Whiskey Jewbilee Group

Life may be complicated, however getting together with fellow congregants to sip whiskey and discuss life should be a simple joy. Our group will gather at different members’ homes each month on Thursday evenings to learn about and enjoy different whiskeys while engaging in meaningful and thoughtful dialogue with an emphasis on Jewish ideas and practices. Our first meeting will take place on Thursday, November 1st. We’ll discuss life’s big questions, as well as smaller ones we’ve all been wondering for years like what’s the difference between a bourbon and a rye, is there any difference between an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan, and what does it really mean when you’re told a Scotch tastes peaty? There’s much to learn and much to enjoy.

The group is continuing from last year with 6 open spots.

Co-leaders are Jed Dorfman (jed@campwalt.com) and Evan Flamenbaum (evan.flamenbaum@gmail.com)
